A Thousand Hits

Shout out to myself the Bean Spiller and all my readers. I've reached the thousand hit marker and I could not be more excited. Woot woot, round of applause for me. When I started this blog a couple months ago I was incredibly nervous that no one would read it or find it interesting enough to check back after his/her initial read. Looks like my nerves were not completely warranted. Well, I guess I only know that one part of that statement is true. I suppose all of you readers could think it is boring; but, if that were the case I probably would not have a thousand hits. Wow, I still can't believe I have reached 4 digits on my blog hit counter. I am beaming just writing this silly post.

Of late my blogs have been mostly related to basketball and I apologize to all my non-sports loving readers. But lets get real, its March and basketball rules the world. Life is Basketball...the rest is just details. Over the next couple of months I am going to try and broaden my horizons and write about a wider variety of topics. No guarantees but I will try. Topic suggestions are welcome.

Before I go out on the town to celebrate the popularity of JeantheBeanSpiller, there is one thing that I request of you readers and it is something I have subtly hinted at before. My wish is this, please comment more often. My reader hit to reader comment ratio is awful. I think I have about 20 total comments, so we are talking one comment every 52 reads. This is just inexcusable. Don't be shy or nervous. Just get yourself a log-in and password and post away. I am sure everyone, especially me, would love to read your thoughts.

Looking forward to hearing from you all,

The Bean Spiller

  1. My comment of the day that has nothing to do with your blog... I saw a group of people playing "bike-cross" which is equivalent to lacrosse on bikes. It was wild.

  2. Apparently I feel the need to comment on ever blog, so I will just continue. I must pull another quote.."Life is Basketball...the rest is just details." Really? Life is just WNBA basketball the rest is just details...where is that shirt?

And to Kristen's post above, I think that sounds like the best idea ever.

  4. I just re-read my post and realized that I did not see people playing lacrosse on bikes... I saw people playin FIELD HOCKEY on bikes. Slightly different and makes my "bike-cross" made up name not valid.

Meesh-- we should start a game of lacrosse on bikes. I'd kick your ass at riding with no hands.

  5. Craftastic--Brilliant idea! Although I feel goalies should get a 3-wheeled bike, just a thought. It's on!
